No holder of a licence nor any lessee of a claim shall suffer of permit any person other than a person duly registered to serve him as a laborer, to be or to work on such claim on any terms or in any capacity whatsoever unless such person shall have first obtained a permission hereinafter called a mining privilege, Section 144 of the Mining Regulations.
Every person who desires to work on any claim in any capacity other than that of a registered labourer shall apply to the commissioner for a mining privilege, Section 145(1) of the Mining Regulations.
No mining privilege shall be issued for a longer period than twelve months, Section 146 of the Mining Regulations.
Who can apply?
- An individual who is a citizen of Guyana, an adult and an individual being paid based on production
- No female can apply, only if female is a dredge owner
Requirements
Every applicant shall provide the Commission the following information:-
- Form of identification (National Identification Card or Passport)
- TIN Number
- Address
- Mining District
- Fee GY$500
