The Introduction of Third Party Payment Services

The Guyana Geology and Mines Commission introduces the Third Party Payment System

The Commission is pleased to offer you a seamless Third Party Payment System for the renewal of the mentioned products with effect from 15 February, 2020

  • Renewal of Claims
    • Renewal of Gold Claims
    • Renewal of River Claims
    • Renewal of Gold and Precious Stones Claims
    • Renewal of Precious Stones Claims
  • Renewal of Dredge Licences
  • Renewal of Specified Machinery
  • Renewal of Business Permissions
  • Renewal of Trading Licences
  • Renewal of Goldsmith Licences
  • Renewal of Residential permissions

To do this you must first acquire your GGMC Invoice for payment, to obtain the Invoice Number(IN). This IN is required for both electronic and over the counter payments. The invoice will only be valid for a period of seven (7) days. Invoices can be obtained by either:

  • The GGMC E-services portal at eservices.ggmc.gov.gy. You will be required to sign up for GGMC e-services at the listed web link. Click on the link and proceed.
  • Visiting the GGMC Head Office.

 

You may use any of two main options below to make payments:

1. GUYANA BANK OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY (GBTI):

  • Over the counter services during regular banking hours at all our branches except Providence. You do not need an account at the GBTI to use the over the counter services. You will be required to bring the GGMC Invoice, Digitally or printed, and for walk in Customers your TIN #, Customers correct name (Identification) and Telephone number. Persons paying on behalf of clients must present their ID Card, and Telephone number. It is important that the Invoice number is inputted or recorded correctly.

Payments which less than the amount required on the invoice will be rejected by the GGMC system.

The branches listed below will accept the over the counter payments:

  • Anna Regina
  • Diamond
  • Port Mourant
  • Regent St. Branch
  • Bartica
  • Lethem
  • Port Kaituma
  • Vreed-en-Hoop Branch
  • Corriverton
  • Parika
  • Water St. Branch

GBTI Online payments will attract a fee of $45 and Over-the-counter payments will attract a payment of $75.

 

2. USING MOBILE MONEY GUYANA (MMG)

There are basically two (2) ways you can use MMG to pay GGMC – (1) with an MMG Subscriber account (using the App or dialing *123#) or (2) at any MMG Agent countrywide

 

You can register for an MMG account online at www.mmg.gtt.co.gy/register using your mobile phone or computer or you can visit any authorized MMG agent locations. To complete your registration, you need a valid form of ID (ID card, passport or driver’s license) and a recent proof of address.

 

Once your MMG account is activated, select Pay Bills from the main menu of the App or after dialing *123#. If you don’t see GGMC listed in the first 1-9 options, then choose *9 (Next) until you come to GGMC. You will need to enter your unique customer number or account number and Invoice number before entering the amount you are paying.

 

Payments which are less than the amount required on the invoice will be rejected by the GGMC system.

 

You will be able to pay through a Subscriber MMG account up to $100,000 per day or $100,000 per transaction. If you are paying directly through an agent, you can pay any amount toward your outstanding balance.

 

You will be notified via a text message that your transaction has gone through or if the transaction has failed.

The areas of coverage include North West District, Mahdia, North Rupununi, Mabura, Lethem, West Coast Berbice, West Bank Berbice, New Amsterdam, Corentyne, Kwakwani, Linden, Bartica, Essequibo Coast, Wakenaam, Leguan, East Coast and East Bank Demerara, West Coast and West Bank Demerara and Georgetown.

 

All payments completed by way of the Third Party Payment System will be recognized by the GGMC as the transaction date for each product.

 

All licences and permits can only be uplifted at the GGMC Headquarters until further notice.
